Welcome to the high school youth group page! Bring yourself and your high school friends to join in on open discussions about living your faith in a world that can often be very unkind through social media and gossiping. Encounter God through meaningful discussion and exposure to different forms of prayer and sacraments. Live out your faith and share in that journey with others!
About our Youth Minister:
Anthony Garvert is a newcomer to Saginaw – he moved here in August of 2016. He is a recent graduate of Michigan State University (Go Green!) and started working at Nexteer Automotive as an electrical engineer. He has been involved with church choir since he was very young, and continues on with that ministry here at St. John Vianney! He has also participated on several alternative spring break trips to Jonestown, MS through St. John Church and Student Center at MSU. He has participated in many different types of retreats both throughout high school and college, and looks forward to many opportunities with that again. Fresh off a trip to World Youth Day in Poland, he is very excited to be working with the youth here in Saginaw and spread the fire of the Holy Spirit!
Youth Ministry meets the 1st and 3rd Sunday evening of the month from October – June at 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. There are two levels. Grades 7 & 8 meet with Sr. Janet and Grades 9 -12 meet with Anthony Garvert. Call the parish office at 989-790-5086 for more information.
All children and youth must be properly registered for their own safety and protection.
